Dìdi (弟弟)
Didi (Mandarin for “younger brother”) is an Asian-American coming-of-age film that tells the story of a 13-year-old Taiwanese-American boy who in his final month before starting high school learns what his family can’t teach him: how to skate, flirt, and love your mom.
Didi by Sean Wang fully embraces a fun, zeroes nostalgia, by taking you back to life in 2008. The film touches on themes like identity, growing up, and the challenges immigrant parents (and their children) face in America.
