Holly (ENG SUBS)

After Holly, a 15-year-old girl, seems to have predicted a deadly school fire, all eyes are on her. Teacher Anna is intrigued by Holly’s strange premonition and invites her to volunteer in the grieving community. Everywhere she goes, Holly brings calm, warmth, and hope. But soon she loses control of her own life, and more and more is expected of her.

In “Holly,” Belgian filmmaker Fien Troch once again examines the elusive world in which young people find themselves (unwillingly). Troch delivers a compelling feature film with an impressive lead performance by Cathalina Geeraerts. “Holly” premiered at the Venice Film Festival, was the opening film of the Ghent Film Festival, and is selected for IFFR 2024.
