Mathieu (Guillaume Canet) lives in Paris, Alice (Alba Rohrwacher) lives in a small seaside town in the west of France. He is in his fifties and a well-known actor; she is in her forties and a piano teacher. Fifteen years ago, they fell in love. But they went their separate ways, time passed, and their wounds gradually healed. When Mathieu escapes his life to a spa, he accidentally finds Alice again.
