La jauría | SproutsFF23
La jauría by Andrés Ramírez Pulido
Dutch Premiere | 2022 | Colombia, France | 86 minutes
A dark, brooding tale about an experimental youth detention center in the Colombian jungle. By means of an eerie score, penetrating gazes and a deep, earthy colour palette director Andrés Ramírez Pulido has created a transgressive world of shadows. He slowly reveals a corrupt, broken system messing up the lives of tormented boys. A menacing debut reminiscent of Monos (2019).
