No Other Land (ENG SUBS)

No Other Land follows Basel Adra, a young Palestinian activist from Masafer Yatta on the Westbank, who since his youth has been opposing the displacement of his people by the Israeli authorities. He documents the destruction of villages in the area, where Israeli soldiers gradually demolish houses and expel citizens. He meets Yuval, an Israeli journalist, and an unlikely friendship blossoms between the two. Yuval supports Basel in his efforts, but their friendship is put under pressure by the great inequality they face: Basel lives under military repression, while Yuval lives freely and without restrictions.

No Other Land, made by a Palestinian-Israeli collective made up of Basel Basel Adra, Yuval Abraham, Hamdan Ballal, and Rachel Szor, functions as a creative act of resistance and aims for justice in the ongoing conflict. The documentary had its premiere beginning of 2024 at Berlinale, where it won the Panorama Dokumente Audience Award and the Berlinale Documentary Award.
