The Good Sister (ENG SUBS)

How well do you know the person closest to you? Rose (Marie Bloching) has a close bond with her older brother Sam (Anton Weil), her guardian angel. When her relationship ends, he even lets her move in on his couch. But when Sam is accused of a serious sex crime and Rose is asked to testify against him, her worldview collapses. As she balances her loyalty to her brother with her own conscience, everything she thought she knew about Sam begins to crumble.

The Good Sister, directed by Sarah Miro Fischer, is a gripping psychological drama about Rose’s inner struggle between loyalty and doubt. Fischer brings to life the tension and complexity of human relationships and shows how family ties can lead to unexpected and difficult moral choices. Following her short film Spit (2021), The Good Sister is Fischer’s feature film debut, which had its world premiere at the Berlin International Film Festival and was subsequently screened at the San Sebastián International Film Festival.
