The Promised Land (ENG SUBS)

1755, Denmark. Captain Ludvig Kahlen has set himself the goal of making the untamed Danish heath habitable in order to build a colony in the name of King Frederik V. In return, he expects a royal title with accompanying honor and wealth. However, Kahlen quickly gains an enemy. According to the ruthless landowner Frederik de Schinkel, the piece of land is already in his possession. When De Schinkel discovers that two of his workers have escaped to join Kahlen, he vows revenge. Kahlen does not be intimidated and enters into the battle, risking both his own life and that of his burgeoning community.
