In 2123, Earth is a scorched wasteland devoid of any flora or fauna. Humans reside in cities under protective domes. Since there are no natural resources left except for water, humans have become the primary source of sustenance and are allowed to live only up to 50 years. Afterward, a seed is implanted in their bodies, which transforms into a tree in special laboratories, providing oxygen and food for the population. The 28-year-old psychiatrist Stefan and his wife Nora have lost their son. Nora cannot cope with this loss and requests voluntary implantation, even though she is only 32 years old. Stefan does not accept this and embarks on an adventurous journey to save her at any cost.
