Wild Fruits + Croc

Bernardo Zanotta’s new mid-length film WILD FRUITS (35min) recounts a series of episodes in the life of a fictional servant of French philosopher Michel de Montaigne, against the backdrop of the 16th-century colonial expansion in South America and religious wars in Europe. After Jean’s return to France, disillusioned by the colonial project, he meets Montaigne and develops an intimate relationship with him. One day, while walking in the forest close to Montaigne’s castle, they stumble upon a group of time travelers on a mission that will change the lives of these two men; an encounter which would come to alter the course of history forever.

The screening at Studio/K will be the Dutch Premiere of the film, presented in an intimate screening followed by a Q&A with the director and members of the cast and crew. For this occasion, the short film CROC (15min, WIP) by actor Thiago Antunes, will also be projected, celebrating the collaboration between Zanotta and Antunes.
